Prisoner's mom punished for abusing cop

The Dubai Misdemeanour Court ordered a Georgian mother of a prisoner to pay Dh5,000 for abusing a policewoman at the Central Jail. SS, 53, is accused of abusing a policewoman on duty. The cop allegedly refused the former a locker to keep her bag. However, the policewoman, AI, told the court that SS had abused her using the f word in Arabic, threw the bag on her table and asked her for a locker. As no locker was available then AI asked her to either wait or come the following day. But SS made it clear that she could not wait, "I aopologised to her", told AI. But denying the cop's version, SS told the court that she was aked by the cop to keep the bag in her car but she had no car, and that was the reason why she insisted on having a locker. A British woman, present at the premises during the altercation between the accused and the cop, testified in court that she she did not hear the accused use the f word in English, however, she does not understand Arabic. The witness also testified that the accused was allowed to visit her son the same day along with a little child. The court found her guilty and ordered her to pay Dh5,000.
