Flying on the wings of property construction delays in the wake of a global recession, local plane charter company Seawings has launched a unique aerial tour package that allows private clients to cruise their million-dirham investments from the skies.

While the airline company soft launched the package last year, it finally took off post Cityscape this year, which concluded last week, stemming from personal requests from potential buyers.

“Last year’s economic downturn resulted in many companies in the real estate sector grinding their construction to a halt, raising the question amongst private buyers and corporates whether their investments were indeed secure,” Seawings’ Corporate Communications Manager, Carine Duvignaud told Emirates 24|7.com.

“We saw the need for such a market and launched a service to cater to such individual requests and allay fears of many clients,” she explained.

The tailor-made packages, which usually cost around Dh10,500 per hour and can fit 10 passengers in a flight – inclusive of a pilot – allows clients to take that sneaky peek of their potential new home or investment on The World islands, The Palm Jumeirah or even in the Springs community.

Since the conclusion of the property show, Cityscape, last week, Duvignaud has confirmed that Seawings has already received 10 strong enquires from local and international clients to sign up for the service, which includes both private buyers and corporate entities from as far as Russia and China.

“And why just investors, but architects too can use this opportunity to catch a bird’s eye view of their projects,” she added.

In the recent past, property giants such as Nakheel have assailed these services from Seawings, confirms Duvignaud.
