According to the records, on September 26, 2010, FA, 36 and his family left to visit some friends. When they returned they found that the villa was robbed.
FA testified that a missing safe contained jewellery worth more than Dh200,000 and Dh29,260 in cash. Among the items stolen from the villa were nine chequebooks, a cheque for Dh1.2m, a laptop, a number of credit cards, and other small items.
