Iraqi shot in US saved for a year to meet wife

An Iraqi man says his son-in-law fled the violence of their homeland to reunite with his wife and improve his life in the US, only to be fatally shot while taking photos of the first snowfall he had ever seen.

Mohammed Altaae (al-TYE') said Tuesday that his 36-year-old son-in-law, Ahmed Al-Jumaili (joo-MALE'-lee), saved for more than a year to pay for his move to Texas.

Al Jumaili was shot dead last week while watching the snowfall with his wife and brother-in-law at their apartment complex. He had been in Dallas for three weeks.

Investigators are searching for four men in their late teens or early 20s seen on surveillance video walking from the complex.

Altaae said his son-in-law was a family man quick with a smile.
