A Kuwaiti believed to be drunk phoned the police to inform them about a murder in a farm but a search of the place proved the report was a lie, Alanba Arabic language newspaper reported Thursday.

Police phoned the man after they failed to find any dead body and asked him to come to the centre and explain the reason for his call.

“How can I come to the police centre when I am wanted in a financial case,” he replied, according to the paper.

“Police then found that the man was drunk...they are searching for the man to charge him for making a false report and disturbing the authorities.”
