Man Utd, Chelsea to miss Modric buy as exit looms

Luka Modric seems set to snub both Manchester United and Chelsea has his heart has been set on playing out of England.

Modric, who has had a reasonable Euro tournament, was seen as a key target for both United and Chelsea.

The Tottenham Hotspur creative force had hinted that he would not stay at Spurs if Harry Redknapp was not there, given his great understanding with the now ex-Spurs boss.

While both, Sir Alex Ferguson and Roman Abramovich have been open admirers of Modric’s influence and ability, the Croatian superstar himself seems intent on saying goodbye to England.

Media reports this morning claimed that Modric is now a target for Lokomotiv Moscow as well, after Slaven Bilic’s arrival there as boss.

Bilic worked with Modric as Croatia manager, but will have to compete with Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain to sign him now.
