Kuwaiti air defences repel drone and missile attacks, army confirms
Mid-air interceptions trigger explosions as authorities urge public to follow safety guidance

Kuwait: Kuwait’s air defences engaged and repelled hostile drone and missile attacks early on Monday, according to the Kuwaiti Army.
In a brief statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Army’s General Staff said that air defence systems intercepted the incoming threats mid-air. Loud explosions reported in some parts of the country were the result of these interceptions.
“The Kuwaiti Army’s air defences are engaging with hostile drones and missiles,” the General Staff said, confirming the incidents took place in the early hours of the morning.
The statement urged the public to adhere to safety instructions issued by the competent authorities.
