The story of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE, drew a full house in London on Sunday. “Zayed and the Dream”, a musical historical play about the late leader’s vision, filled out the 2360-seat Coliseum theatre, the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) said in a statement issued yesterday. Attendees comprised native Britons as well as a large percentage of expatriate Arabs. More than 100 artists are part of the 45-minute play, which ADACH has produced in collaboration with Lebanon’s Caracalla Dance Theater. The London show is part of an international tour that has thus far taken in Beirut and Paris. The production was first staged in Abu Dhabi in December 2008. A second performance is scheduled for tonight.
