Dubai Media Youth Council participates in Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy’s Strategic Dialogues Programme
During an official visit to Italy and France aimed at strengthening international dialogue and knowledge exchange
Dubai: Members of the Dubai Media Youth Council participated in the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy Strategic Dialogues Programme, organised by the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy during an official visit to Italy and France.
The programme aimed to strengthen international dialogue and expand cooperation with academic institutions, think tanks and decision-makers across Europe. The Council joined the visit as the programme’s media partner, reflecting Dubai Media’s commitment to empowering young national talent and providing opportunities to engage with international experiences, gain deeper insight into global developments and enhance their professional and knowledge-based capabilities.
The programme featured a series of meetings with senior decision-makers in Italy and France, as well as visits to the UAE Embassies in Rome and Paris and several European academic institutions and research centres. Discussions focused on regional and international issues, opportunities for cooperation in public policy, strategic studies and international relations, and global best practices across key sectors, supporting the UAE’s efforts to strengthen its international profile and position as an influential global partner.
Abdelaziz AlJasmi, Chairman of the Dubai Media Youth Council, said Dubai Media remains committed to providing young professionals with opportunities to broaden their perspectives, strengthen their capabilities and actively contribute to the UAE’s future development.
He said: “The Strategic Dialogues Programme offered a valuable platform to engage with leading experts and institutions across Europe, while gaining deeper insight into the issues shaping today’s global landscape. Such experiences play an important role in preparing young talent to contribute confidently and effectively to the future of the media sector and the wider national agenda.”
For his part, Marwan Alshaali, Member of the Dubai Media Youth Council, highlighted the practical value of the programme and the opportunity to exchange ideas with specialists from diverse backgrounds.
He said: “The programme provided meaningful exposure to different perspectives on public policy, research and international affairs. The discussions and institutional visits enriched our understanding of how knowledge and strategic thinking support decision-making, while also encouraging us to explore new approaches that can contribute to innovation and excellence in our own professional environments.”
Meanwhile, Aysha Alnuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Media Youth Council, said the experience reinforced the importance of dialogue and international engagement in building stronger connections between communities.
She said: “Participating in the programme gave us the opportunity to engage with academics, experts and decision-makers while gaining valuable insight into a range of global issues and priorities. It also reinforced the importance of cultural exchange and international collaboration in strengthening understanding and building meaningful connections between communities.”
