Abu Dhabi: The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat (Awqaf) has opened registration for UAE citizens wishing to perform Haj during the upcoming 1448 AH/2027 season.

Applications can be submitted through the authority’s smart app and official website from September 14 until September 25, 2026.

The authority urged applicants to register within the specified period and ensure that all required information is completed. Applicants will be selected through an automated screening system.

Who can register?

Registration is limited to UAE citizens who have not previously performed Haj.

Those who registered last year do not need to submit a new registration and are instead required to update their existing application.

How to register for Haj

Applicants should download the latest version of the AWQAF UAE smart app and log in using UAE Pass.

They can then select the Haj Package service, choose the registration option, complete the required information, read and accept the terms and conditions, and submit the application.

Once the application has been submitted, the applicant will receive a reference number for their registration request.

Adding a mahram or family members

Applicants who wish to add a mahram, companion or family member through the family-linking service must ensure that the person being added has already completed their own registration and received a reference number.

The applicant can then go to the application status section, select the option to add family members and choose the relevant family-linking category.

They must enter the reference number of the mahram, companion or family member and submit the request.

The person being linked must then access the app on their own phone, go to the user information section and select “Confirm” to complete the family-linking process.

How to check your application status

Applicants can track their request at any time through the “Application Status” option on the authority’s app.

For further enquiries, applicants can contact the authority on 8008222.
