Ministry says violations were found across 266 private-sector companies and do not represent a widespread trend in the UAE labour market

Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) detected 377 cases of fake Emiratisation across 266 private-sector companies during the first half of 2026 and took legal action against the entities involved.

In a statement, the ministry said the identified cases were limited practices and did not constitute a widespread phenomenon in the UAE labour market.

MOHRE reiterated its commitment to enforcing Emiratisation policies and ensuring compliance with regulations designed to increase the participation of UAE nationals in the private sector.

The ministry called on private-sector establishments and Emirati citizens to comply with Emiratisation requirements and objectives, and to report suspected cases of fake Emiratisation.

Fake Emiratisation refers to practices in which companies falsely employ or register Emirati citizens to meet Emiratisation targets without providing genuine jobs or economic participation.
