UAE weather forecast: Low-40s heat and fog risk tonight as humidity rises to 90% along the coast
Abu Dhabi peaks at 42°C today while Dubai and Sharjah reach 41°C. Motorists urged to drive carefully as mist could reduce horizontal visibility overnight

Dubai: Watch out for fog, if you’re out late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Relative humidity (RH) is on the rise, and with temperatures in the low-40s, it’s going to be hot and humid today.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), today’s weather will be fair to partly cloudy, with clouds appearing eastward.
Humidity is set to increase by night and Tuesday morning to 90%, over some western coastal areas. This means there is a probability of fog or mist formation in regions like Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The NCM advises staying alert and cautious when driving in such conditions, as horizontal visibility may drop sharply.
Low-40s temperatures ahead
The mercury is holding steady in the low-40s across the UAE this week.
According to the NCM, coastal and island regions will experience highs between 38°C and 42°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 41°C to 45°C today.

Moderate sea conditions
The NCM forecasts light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times, and reaching speeds of up to 35km/h.
Both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain calm. This means you can expect gentle waves reaching up to two feet on-shore and up to three feet off-shore.
